In what could have been described as a filmi climax director A.R.Murgadoss was arrested, in full view of onlookers, in Chennai by the Salem Police. The arrest took place after producer Salem Chandrasekhar lodged a complaint with the police stating that director Murugadoss was remaking his hit Tamil film Ghajini without his knowledge and that no remake rights were issued by the former to director Murugadoss. Late last year Telugu film producer Allu Arvind launched the Hindi remake of Ghajini , with the same title, with critically acclaimed Hindi film actor Aamir Khan and actress Asin in the lead.
