Star Maa Baahubali For Rs. 30 Crore

Bahubali 2 Budget ₹2 billion

Star Maa that holds the satellite rights of Baahubali: The Beginning has also bagged The Conclusion’s satellite rights now. Star Maa has reportedly paid Rs. 30 crore for both the parts. Needless to say that it is the biggest ever deal in terms of Telugu cinema satellite rights.

Baahubali: The Beginning is one of the biggest hits on TV as it garners high TRPs every time it gets telecasted. Star Maa would be hoping that The Conclusion turns out to be a much bigger hit. Meanwhile, team Baahubali is planning a high speed promotional tour to cover all the important cities across India prior to its release.

Baahubali: The Conclusion will hit the screens on April 28 and it is going to be the biggest ever release in the history of Indian cinema. Luckily for it there is not a single film to compete with it in its first weekend in any language which should ensure much bigger opening to the crazy film.

Telugu Hero Sudheer Babu Next Movie Titled Sri Sri

Sudheer Babu cameo as IPS officer in Sri Sri

The much-awaited "comeback" of actor Krishna seems to be turning into a complete family affair. While son Mahesh Babu is featuring as a voice artiste, son-in-law and actor Sudheer Babu will be making a cameo in father-in-law's next titled Sri Sri, as an IPS officer. In fact, even Krishna's five-year-old grandson plays a role in the film.

"When Krishna garu asked me if I'd play this role, I immediately said yes. You just can't say no to a film with a legend whose work you have grown up watching," enthuses Sudheer. The actor admits to have asked for a role in the film — a comeback of sorts for Krishna. "Since he was acting after a long time, I wanted to be a part of the project if possible, even if it was in a small way."

The actor finished the shot for the particular scene in just a day. The actor, however, doesn't share screen space with Krishna in the film. "But I am not complaining. The fact that I made an appearance in his film gives so much satisfaction that no superhit film of mine can give," he states. Sri Sri is a very special movie for Sudheer Babu for another reason too. His younger son five-year-old Darshan is debuting as a child artiste in the film, playing a role close to his real life character. He plays Krishna's grandson. "If you watch the film, you'd realise that he is so much like Krishna garu in terms of mannerisms and looks," he says. The doting father says he is very proud of his son. "I have seen rushes of the film and am obviously proud to see his work. He was a bit apprehensive initially, but slowly got into the groove," shares Sudheer.

Tollywood Actor Brahmanandam Interview And Profile

Tollywood's favourite funny man Brahmanandam breaks 1000 film record

Brahmanandam's Biography
Film actor
Brahmanandam Kanneganti, is an Indian film actor and comedian. Hailing from Sattenapalli in Andhra Pradesh, he mostly acts in Telugu films. Prior to films, he was a Telugu lecturer in Attili, a town in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
Born: February 1, 1956 (age 58), Sattenapalle
Height: 1.62 m
Spouse: Lakshmi Kanneganti
Children: Raja Goutham Kanneganti, Sid Kanneganti
Upcoming movie: Vaalu

Brahmanandam Interview
The very sight of Brahmanandam is enough to send people into a fit of laughter. It isn't restricted to his onscreen appearances and the veteran actor hasn't yet figured out why. "Random strangers give out a smile, as though on a cue, the moment they see me. Whether it is five-year-old or a 60-something woman, the initial reaction is the same. Don't ask me why? I honestly don't know," says Tollywood's favourite funny man shrugging his shoulders. Perhaps it's the collective memory of 1000-plus films spread over three decades. "It's just a count. For me, the thousandth film is no different from my eleventh one," he says. The man doesn't quite remember which film is his 1000th film though. "I stopped keeping track after 997th film sometime last year," says Brahmanandam who hopes to take time out next month to zero in on which film was the landmark one. He believes it all boils down to "God's grace."

You must have done something right to have stayed relevant after all these years?
Every man aspires to do something with his life, which is why I believe it isn't me that is the reason. I'm sure every actor works as hard as me, if not more. But people haven't gotten tired of me yet. That's why I believe that perhaps God sent me into this world to do just that — make people laugh.

Your parents couldn't have chosen a better name for you...
A good friend's son once asked who invented Brahmanandam? (Smiles) My dad never told me why he named me Brahmanandam (the happiness of the universe) but that's precisely what I'm saying. I did not even choose my name. What are the chances of a Telugu teacher, born in a little-known town like Sattenapalle, landing in the world of cinema and becoming one of the most loved actors of all time? Talent is a combination of perfect comic timing, diction, modulation, great script writing and most importantly, an invincible will, if you may call it so. There are so many actors who aren't the most talented but go on to become very successful stars. It's just that the screenplay and scene order changes depending on their destiny.

You are set to turn 59. Happy with the way your life has panned out?
Oh yes. It's a great gift to be able to make people laugh. I'm the seventh child among eight siblings and have always had a gift for art. I am good with clay-modelling and can sketch reasonably well. I knew that I could make people laugh from the time I was a child. It was my good friend MCV Sashidhar, who was the chief programming officer at DD-8, who saw me doing my thing at popular writer Adi Vishnu's place. He suggested it would be nice to record my stand-up comedy and air it on TV. Late Jandhyala garu spotted me and gave me my first film back in 1985. So, I'd like to believe that my success isn't all my doing. A lot of times my introduction scene have the camera zooming in on my bald patch yet the audience burst out laughing. It's funny. It's been a fabulous journey. But even 15 years ago; I had the same talent then, so why didn't I get so much fame and recognition back then?

Even after three decades you are just as busy? Doesn't it all get a little tiring?
I do plan to go easy and be more selective with my films from now on. There is an old saying, Kotha neellu vachi patha neellu pothuntayi kani gattu ki unna paachi matram undipothundi alane (Fresh water replaces the old water, but the moss stays in its place). I guess that explains my longevity.
Director Trivikram Srinivas once told me 'You wait for hours for a darshan of God, but in one moment you connect with God and forget everything else. I'm not comparing you to God but people tend to forget everything else and laugh out loud when watching you.' I guess I'm just playing out a role written by somebody else. People often ask me, if there are any characters left that I would like to play. As Sri Sri once famously said Saadhinchinadaniki itu santhrupthini pondi ade vijayamanukunte porapataya.... (It is wrong to feel satisfied with what you have achieved.) I'll continue doing it as long as the show goes on.

Your life makes for a great story. Would it make a funny film as well?
Who knows? I'm hoping to map my life story down in my biography. I'm also penning a book about my experiences with God. My life is a bitter example of God's will — he made me a joker. And it's something that I've known all my life.

Now Anushka Shetty Weigh 100 Kgs

Anushka Shetty To Weigh 100 Kgs!!!

Being a hot siren with luscious curves and tantallizng figure, a hot beauty like Anushka weighs around 55 kgs. What if she gets doubled than this weight? Maybe she will look like an elder cousin of Namitha, but our Mangalore hottie is all set to grow her fat like anything.

For the love of cinema, Anushka will be now weighing over 100 kilograms for her upcoming romantic-comedy being directed by Raghavendra Rao's son Prakash. Earlier, she has put little weight for those prestigious periodic flick, as he plays queen Rudramadevi in Gunasekhar's 'Rudramadevi 3D' and Devasena in Rajamouli's two-part magnum opus 'Baahubali'. Post these two flicks, Anushka has cut down around 8 kilos to star in Rajnikanth's Lingaa.

We hear that she plays a dual role in Prakash's movie, for one role she looks slimmer and sexy, and another role will be a fatty girl. She would have opted for a prosthetic makeup like Allari Naresh in 'Laddu Babu', but the hot beauty insisted for authenticity and putting the weight on for real. Way to go Anushka!

"Memu Saitham" Donate Rs 11,51,56,116/-

No doubt, Tollywood in unison came forward for a noble cause under the umbrella "Memu Saitham". Apart from 12-hour-long Telethon, it also threw a dinner in order to raise funds for the victims of Hudhud. On whole, it managed to donate a whopping Rs 11,51,56,116/- excluding satellite rights Rs 3.5 Crore and other donations to AP CM Relief Fund. But one thing that set the tongues wagging is the huge list of A-lister absentees.

Actor-Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan's absence at the Telugu Film Industry's entertainment marathon Memu Saitham was conspicuous. When all eyes were on Pawan's presence, the actor choose to give it a miss disappointing lakhs of his fans. Well, one can't blame Pawan's commitment towards Hudhud victims as he already donated Rs 50 Lakh and even visited the affected region. Although there was no exact clue why the Gabbar Singh star gave the grand event a miss, rumour mill is abuzz that Pawan's alleged differences with Allu Aravind said to have played spoilsport.

In fact, Pawan also skipped "Dinner with Pawan Kalyan" which was organised on Saturday night (Nov 29) at a private function hall. Even stars like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan confined to cameos but none of them played significant role in the do. Mahesh Babu, NTR and Charan were a bit better as Mahesh did a skit, NTR and Charan played cricket.

Coming to directors Rajamouli, Sreenu Vytla, Puri Jagannadh, VV Vinayak, Sukumar, Ram Gopal Varma chose not to attend the grand telethon. However, Vinayak could be excused as his mother is unwell. Only Trivikram Srinivas was seen in a skit alongside Mahesh Babu and Samantha. What happened to directors like Rajamouli who always stand in front row when it comes to philanthropic events? He rather confined to a brief, short skit with his team shot in the locales of Baahubali shooting. Then what about directors like Sreenu Vytla, Puri Jagannadh? The absence of all these A-listers made Memu Saitham an average grosser. Had the above missed stars, directors made it to the do, it'd have been a blockbuster minting money for the AP government.
