Having failed to make an impression with his debut film, Something Special , actor Samrat has joined the long list of actors who have made additions to their original name in the hope of changing their fortunes in tinsel ville.
He is starring as Vijay Samrat in his second venture, Veedu Mamoolodu Kadu. Ravi Sarma is directing the movie, which has actors Rishi and Gopika in the lead.
In the recent past, actors like Pawan Kalyan for example added Pawan to his original name Kalyan. Director EVV Styanaraya's son Rajesh also added the prefix Aryan to his first name. Only time will tell if the new addition to the name will be accompanied with a shift in BO fortunes-Telugu Cinemass.
