Police: Dasari Prabhu is mentally unstable
Prabhu and Susheela, who had a love marriage, have been estranged for quite some time now.
New Delhi: Union Coal Minister and Telugu film producer, Dasari Narayana Rao's son has surfaced in Chennai.
The Coal Minister's son, Harihara Prabhu, was reportedly kidnapped last night. However, he now says that he left Hyderabad to escape harassment at the hands of his wife, Susheela.
Prabhu says he had gone to Chitoor following a call from his wife that her brother was in hospital. He claims that Susheela laced his drinks with sedatives, made him sign certain documents and is trying to grab his properties.
He added that he had escaped from the hotel when no one was around and had run to Chennai. He also made it clear that his parents had no role to play in the problems that he and his wife were facing.
Reports quoting Andhra Pradesh Police say Prabhu is mentally unstable. However, what is to be noted is that he went missing on Tuesday, hours after Susheela called a press conference blaming her in-laws of dowry harassment.
His wife had complained to the police that a group of five armed men barged into the hotel room in Seshapuram area where Prabhu was put up and whisked him away at gunpoint.
Prabhu and Susheela, who had a love marriage, have been estranged for quite some time now and a divorce case is already on.
On the other hand, Prabhu's wife Susheela condemned her husband’s allegations that she is harassing him. She demanded police to reveal the names of her husband’s kidnappers names. She said, “The kidnappers are forcing my husband to tell the lies. The truth comes out if we know the kidnappers names. I am not interested in his money. I was just asked my husband to live together.”
