Is Ileana bigger than many young heroes? Well, she almost demands as much money as a big hero gets for a film. Illeana has now emerged as the highest paid actress in South India. For producer Bellamkonda Suresh's film with Tarun to be directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar, she is reportedly taken Rs 1 Crores (remuneration plus accommodation and transport charges).
In South India, no heroine has charged Rs 1 Crores as remuneration for a film except Illeana so far. Even in Bollywood, only few divas like Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Rani Mukharjee crossed that figure.
Till now, the highest amount paid was to Katrina Kaif for Mallishwari (about 70 Lakhs).A decade ago, only 'Lady Amitabh' Vijayashanti achieved that status. When she took Rs 70 Lakhs after the success of Kartavyam, it created ripples.
Interestingly, none of Illeana's last films did magic at Box-office. Yet, she getting such a price is amazing. Buzz is that producer Bellamkonda paid her this huge amount to get the combination craze for the film as Tarun and director Vijaya Bhaskar are no big figures at Box-office now-Telugu Cinemass.
