Prince Mahesh Babu’s latest flick Athidhi did not get rave reviews from the critics, but has been running to packed houses in the city.
According to trade reports, the movie’s collected Rs 6.8 crore, in just four days. The overseas collections have also been very positive.
The timing of the release seems to have done the trick. Not only did it coincide with the Dusshera vacation and coming as it did, after the release of Chirutha and Tulasi , it seemed to have made the best of the festive season.
However, the tenacious critics are not giving up yet. They say that the real test awaits the film, now that vacation time is over. It will be interesting to see if the movie continues with its bull run and proves the expert naysayers wrong or will it be the critics who have the last laugh-Telugu Cinemass.
