Fraud Complaint Filed Against Latha Rajinikanth

Rs.10 crore money-fraud complaint filed against Latha Rajinikanth

Latha Rajinikanth
Nagar, an individual who took up the distribution and release of superstar Rajinikanth’s 3-D animation venture Kochadaiiyaan in May this year, has filed a complaint with the police accusing Latha Rajinikanth of cheating him to the tune of Rs.10.2 crores.

A complaint was filed with the Commissioner of Police by Nagar stating that “My firm was given the right to distribute and release Rajini’s Kochadaiiyaan which released in May, by Muralimanohar, the producer of the film.  Manohar and I  signed a contract in this regard which was counter-signed by Latha Rajinikanth. I paid to Manohar the sum quoted in the agreement for taking up the film’s release.

“As per the contract, rights to release Kochadaiiyaan in Tamil Nadu shouldn’t be given to any other individual or firm. If such thing happened, I should be paid compensation for the same. The compensation would be 20% of the amount I paid for bagging the release rights and a share of the profits. However, Manohar sold the release rights to another firm thereby causing me huge losses.

“When I sought compensation, I was assured by Manohar and Latha that I would be paid the sum after the film’s release. I believed them and allowed the film to release. Though more than six months have gone by since the film’s release, I haven’t been paid the Rs.10.2 crores due to me. I request the police to take appropriate action against Latha and Manohar.”
