Amala Paul’s Next Film Is A Heroine-Centric Subject

That Amala Paul is doing another film with Samuthirakani is known. The latest on the project is that it will not be a horror film, as rumoured, and the script will trace the various stages of the character that the actress will be portraying.

A reluctant Amala tells us, "I shared a comfortable equation while working with Kani sir in Nimirndhu Nil, and I loved the prospect of acting in another film of his. This rural-based film will be produced and directed by him. I think he will also be playing an important role in it."

Prod her more about this project, and she says, "It's a heroine-based script, and it's one of the strongest characters I've ever been offered. In fact, I will say that my role is much more intense than that in Mynaa. I get to portray different phases of my character — right from when she's a teenager to when she ages."

The buzz is that Amala Paul will play the lead opposite Dhanush in his film with Vetri Maaran. Interestingly, she has just wrapped up a film with the actor — Velraj's Velaiyilla Pattathari.

While Amala refuses to comment, Vetri Maaran says, "When I was discussing with my associates about the project, one of the names suggested was that of Amala's. I haven't even approached her with the script." The director informs us that he is planning to go on floors with the film from next month.
