Here's the latest on Mani Ratnam's next project. We hear that the ace director has approached Shruti Haasan to be cast as the female lead, reportedly opposite superstar Mahesh Babu, in his Tamil-Telugu ilingual. His team had reportedly approached Shruti almost a week ago, and the actress had also expressed her interest in being part of it.
While Shruti neither confirmed nor denied the report, she maintained, "Working with Mani sir is a dream for anyone." A source close to the actress tells us, "Shruti has been approached for almost five movies recently, and unless she signs the film and the project is officially announced, she doesn't talk about it. She is working on four films now, and details about her next project will be announced only at an appropriate time."
The other actors who are said to be part of this entertainer are Nagarjuna, Fahadh Faasil and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
