KRISHNARJUNA - Multi Starer Picture

KRISHNARJUNA REVIEW

Vishnu and Nag combination generated much heat in the film industry several weeks before its release. The factors which prompted considerably good expectations about the film are: Direction by P. Vasu (creator of Chandramukhi sensation); announcement that Nag plays a modern God; and starring of Vishnu, immediately after his blockbuster Dhee. At last, this multi-starrer has reached its target.

Story

The film opens with Vishnu lying on a bed in the ICU of a hospital who is battling for life. The film then goes to the flash back. Vishnu is born in Temple of lord Krishna to a mentally unstable woman.she runs away from a mental hospital and gives birth to arjun, dies shortly afterwards. Manorama ( Grandmother) brings up Arjun by working as a servant in Nazar’s house. Arjun is a also works for Nazars family. Vishnu is innocent and hardworking.

Mamatha Mohandas is the younger sister of Nazar and she is an arrogant and spoilt girl. As Vishnu is working in Nazars house he drops Mamatha at college every day and also takes good care of Nazar’s children.

Tanikella Bharani is a rich diamond merchant and his son falls for Mamatha. She also takes a liking for him, as he is fabulously rich.

A well-known astrologer Bramhanandam declares the horoscope of Mamatha as – Whoever marries her will diesays that whoever marries will die within a short span of time.

Nazar hatches a plan and gets Arjun to the tie the knot to Mamatha. His plan is that as soon as Vishnu is dead, Mamatha can marry the son of the rich diamond merchant and live happily.

But Vishnus life takes a turn after his marriage with Mamatha. His grandmother dies after coming to know about Nazar’s evil plan. Vishnu also tries to commit suicide but lord Krishna in the form of Nagarjuna appears before Vishnu to not only to save him but also instill in him a confidence and will power to face the obstacles in life.

Vishnu is now a changed man and he now takes on the evil Nazar and the diamond merchant head on. How he accomplishes is suspense and should be watched on the screen.

The film starts slowly bit picks up pace after the interval. Comparisons with ‘Dhee’ are inevitable but would be totally unfair. Nags modern God role and Mohan Babus cameo make Krishnarjuna a welcoming film as a multi-starrer. Visual effects is another major plus point.
