Chiruta's sensation at HIFF
CHARAN TEJ's debut film Chirutha, created quite a furore in the second leg of the Hyderabad International Film Festival, as fans poured in by the hordes for the screening at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens. Apparently the openair theatre was filled with slogan chanting fans that broke into a gig every time Charan came onto the screen. The foreign delegates too were astounded to see the popularity of this budding star and were all praise for Charan's histrionics. Coming at a time when the festival was witnessing dwindling audiences , this must have brought something to cheer about for the organisers.
