He rewrote the history of records in Tollywood with his sensational hit Pokiri, which collected a whopping Rs. 42 crores! Recently he opened the doors for corporate companies like UTV in to Telugu filmdom, which is a first of its kind experience to Tollywood, with his recent film Athidhi.
The new gen director is Sekhar Kammula, the technocrat-turned-creative director. Shekhar has the wonderful cinemas like, Doller Dreams, Anand, Godavari and the latest super hit, Happy days in his bag of best cinema-Telugu Cinemass.
If the industry buzz is to be believed, Mahesh Babu is planning to do a film with Sekhar Kammula now, post the hit of Happy Days of the latter. In an interview held recently, Mahesh Babu expressed his desire to work with Shekhar as "he would love to try something different with a director like Shekhar "! Hope this will turn into reality within soon.
