It seems that after legendary Bhanumathi, Telugu cinema may get another singer-actress in Mamata Mohandas, who sang for her Telugu films Rakhi and Jagadam.
The actress once again goes behind the microphone to croon songs for Yamadonga under the supervision of veteran composer M.M. Keeravani. She plays female lead in the movie.
Mamata has received other singing and acting offers for Telugu films and says: "I would like to do the same in Tamil films as well."
She featured in successful Tamil film Silappadhikaram (The Anklet), named after an ancient Tamil epic of the same name.
