"AADAVARI MATALAKU ARDHALE VERULE" STILL TOPS BOX-OFFICE (TELUGU BOX-OFFICE REPORT)

"Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule" overtakes "Dhee" and emerges as the winner among the fortnight's Telugu films:

THE TOP FIVE TELUGU MOVIES:

1. AADAVARI MATALAKU ARDHALE VERULE:

Cast: Venkatesh, Trisha
Director: Selva Raghavan

Box-office Report:
AMAV didn’t create much impact like other super hits in the initial stages but in the end it turned out to be the real winner. Trade pundits analyze that it would touch Rs 25 Crores, an highest amount for Venky’s film. Though this comedy looks like an unlikely creation for Sri Raghavan, it promises a busy season for the serious filmmaker.

2. DHEE:

Cast: Vishnu, Sri Hari, Genelia
Director: Sreenu Vaitla

Box-office Report:
Director Srinu Vytla's strength lies in lacing his stories with laughs. The formula clicks once again with the film bringing Vishnuvardhan back into the reckoning.Dhee has completed its 50 days run on June 1st. It is one of the best films to come out in this season and a good hit. A film that brought good profits to buyers and exhibitors.

3. AATA:

Cast: Siddartha, Ileana
Director: VN Aditya

Box-office Report:
The other Raju who lost money and also some believability was M S Raju with Aata. The film is a losing proposition now. At the end of the fourth week, the collections have diluted and the prospects are not that bright too. Yet, it is doing well in Hyderabad, Vizag and Vizayawada. It was a big loser in overseas. Trade analysts feel it may end up an average grocer. It needs to sustain the same collections that is drawing in urban areas to enter into a safe zone (no loss/no profits). But it can't be a hit even then. The great chemistry between Siddharth and Illeana keeps the film going strong at the box office. Producer M.S. Raju and director V.N. Aditya break their jinx with a moderate hit.

4. MUNNA:

Cast: Prabhas, Ileana
Director: Paidipally Vamshi

Box-office Report:
After a good opening, the film may be sliding a bit at the box office. But Prabhas' looks, Ileana's oomph, lilting music and slick action stand "Munna" in good stead. Munna, on the other hand, didn’t lose as much as it was expected. On the film’s first day, the talk was like horrible. Despite very negative talk, it didn’t end up as disaster. Though it is a flop, it is not that loser. More than monetary loss, the film made dent to Dil Raju’s image.

5. BHOOKAILASH:

Cast: Venu Madhav, Mumaith Khan

Box-office Report:
Comedian Venu Madhav plays the main lead in this tale, which is about a farmer who becomes a millionaire overnight due to a real-estate boom.
