Telugu Cinema's Leading Heroines are Busy

The date diaries of Telugu movies' popular leading ladies seem to be chock-a-block. So much so, they aren't signing any new Telugu projects

With Telugu film's popular leading ladies making their way to Bollywood, their kitty seems to be filled with exciting projects. But thanks to their Hindi film ventures, it leaves them with no time and dates to accommodate new Telugu projects. Here's a look at some of our busy leading ladies, who we'll miss seeing on screen for sometime.

Tamannaah is currently working on five projects — two Bollywood films, two Telugu movies and one Tamil film. The actress had committed to these projects long ago and seems to be in no mood to sign any new Telugu flick. In fact, the last film Tamannaah signed was the Mahesh Babu-starrer Aagadu, the shooting of which is expected to commence shortly. Sharing more details on Tamannaah's busy itinerary, her father Santosh Bhatia says, "Tamannaah is currently working on five projects and we cannot commit to any new project before March 2014. We are ready and open to signing new film, but its imperative we honour our present commitments first."

Ileana D'Cruz

After making her B-Town debut in Anurag Basu's Barfi!, in which she shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, Ileana has signed a few Hindi films. The Goan beauty was last seen on the Telugu movie screens in the film Julayi and Ravi Teja's Devudu Chesina Manushulu. Ileana, who will soon be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in Phata Poster Nikla Hero, David Dhawan's untitled venture and a film with Saif Ali Khan, has not signed a new Telugu movie.

Kajal Aggarwal

Although Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in a cameo opposite Allu Arjun in the Ram Charan-starrer Yevadu, the actress has been busy shooting for Tamil films — All in All Azhagu Raja and Jilla. Kajal was seen in this year's Telugu hit films Naayak, Baadshah and a Bollywood film, Special 26, starring Akshay Kumar. The actress has reportedly not signed any other Telugu film.
