Gautham Vasudev Menon had kicked off his ambitious Dhruva Natchathiram pooja more than a month back. The shoot of the film was to commence on June 17, and the entire unit was ready. But it didn’t happen and it’s all quiet. Suriya is yet to give the green signal to start the shoot and normally, he doesn’t take this long a break between films.
Dhruva Natchathiram, touted to be a thriller is directed and produced by Gautham Menon under his banner Photon Kathaas, featuring Suriya along with Simran and Parthiepan in lead roles. The film's music and background score are being composed by A. R. Rahman. Gautham had approached Trisha to play the heroine and signed her, but the grapevine has it that she opted out of Dhruva Natchathiram, as the shoot did not start on the promised date.
Trisha had tweeted: “Since I have been repeatedly asked about the new films I have signed, just wana clarify and say I havn’t signed anything new in Tamil or Telugu as of now.” Then there were rumours that Amala Paul had emerged as the frontrunner to play Suriya’s romantic lead. But as of now, Gautham is still trying to kickstart the project. The heroine and a lot of other details are yet to be finalised. Watch this space!
