Allu Ramalingaiah award 2008 exalts K.Viswanath

Allu Ramalingaiah Kala Peetam, founded in the memory of eminent comedy actor Padma Sri Allu Ramalingaiah. Every year on 1st October commemorating his birth anniversary, a film personality who rendered an exceptional slick work for industry, is adorned with the Allu Ramalingaiah National Award.

Padma Sri Kasinadhuni Viswanath, the director who gifted Tollywood with many classic films like ‘Siri Siri Muvva’, ‘Shankarabharanm’, ‘Sagara Sangamam’, ‘Swathi Kiranam’ and so on, has been selected to be honored with the award this year.

This is announced by the president of the Kala Peeth, Saripalli Kondala Rao. According to him, the award function will be held at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Hyderabad on Thursday.

The recipient will be felicitated with a Memento along with a Swarna Kankanam. The nightingale of Tollywood Smt. P Suseela will grace the occasion with her presence as a chief guest.
