After the failure of Telugu Movie Sathyam, Vishal Become ...

Directing a new path?

After the failure of Sathyam, Vishal seems to have learnt a lesson that a star needs a good director to guide him to a hit.

The actor had written in his blog that his next film will be Thoranai, to be directed by debutant Ayappan. Now it looks like Vishal is having second thoughts about being directed by a debutant.

The latest we hear is that Vishal has signed his next film with ace director Selvaraghavan, to be produced by leading financier and producer Ramesh Babu of Kanakaratna Films who produced the blockbuster Pokkiri and a few other films.

Selva had signed up with the producer more than two years back, first to start a Surya film which later became a Vikram project now it looks like it has become a Vishal picture! The film is likely to start rolling from January first week in Chennai.

By then, Selva, it is heard, will finish shooting his never-ending Aayirathil Oruvan starring Karthi. If it materialises, this will be a big break for the Chellame star who flaunted a six-pack in Sathyam, which never took off due to a weak storyline and screenplay.
