In an industry which is dominated by actresses from North India, it's refreshing to see a Telugu girl making her entry into the industry. KRISHNA SMITHA, a debutant, is proud to be a Telugu and even prouder to be entering the Telugu film industry. Featuring in a love story titled Muhurtham, which was first released amid fanfare in the US, the promising star is all excited. "When there is a dearth of Telugu girls in Tollywood, my debut gives me confidence. The Telugu community in the US liked my performance and the movie got immense response there. I look forward to the support and patronage of the Telugu audience here," she says. The film is set against the backdrop of the freedom struggle and how two lovers sacrifice everything for freedom. The film is produced and directed by Ravi Tenali. The girl is on cloud nine about her foray into the Telugu film industry.
