Mandira Bedi's standard turned out to be too high for director Kuchipudi Venkat for his film "John Appa Rao 40 Plus". Though initially Mandira said yes to the project, later on after realizing that Krsihan Bhagwan is a mere comedian and not a big actor, the actress decided to shun herself from the project. Mandira has already become a household name by hosting cricket world cup shows on television Her aim is to be a sensation on Bollywood portraying special glamour and oomph in her own way. She is already a known figure among International circuit and is not ready to do something which will tarnish her image and this was one of the reasons the actress backed up after knowing she is acting with a stand up comedian and not a big star.
