HYDERABAD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT PRASADS MULTIPLEX


Prasads Multiplex, Hyderabad, is going to host the Second Edition of Hyderabad International Film Festival (HIFF) scheduled to take place from January 3 to 10, 2008. Festival Advisors MS Reddy, Ramanaidu, CC Reddy, Ramesh Prasad, C. Kalyan, Nagababu, Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao today addressed a press meet at Film Chamber building. They said that Union Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayana Rao will act as the Chairman and Chief Advisor of the Festival. The Hyderabad Film Club and A.P. Film Directors Association are jointly conducting the mega event. The schedule includes a package of latest films from almost all apart from the best of films that have been made during the last 2-3 years, and have been touring worldwide festival circuit.

Advisor to the AP Govt (Foreign Affairs) and Visu Group Chairman CC Reddy expressed his displeasure at the state affairs with the young generation of directors. He suggested them to adhere to some principles laid down by their predecessors, who were veterans of the yesteryears. "Watching global movies will help sharpen your mind and give scope for more creativity." He further said that it was fortunate "these days some directors are thinking that huge budget films alone have scope for creativity."

Prasadz Multiplex Managing Director Ramesh Prasad said that he is proud to be hosting the International event in Hyderabad . "Prasadz Multiplex is the right venue as it bagged world fame for box office records with Harry Potter and Spiderman III."

Dr. Ramanaidu urged all the 24 Crafts of the film industry to cooperate and extend their support to make the event a grand success.
