She was taken to a suburban hospital again Yesterday (December 13) for further tests, as her hemoglobin count continued to fall despite the treatment. It took almost a day to complete all the complicated medical tests. Now, she has been advised complete bed rest by the doctors.
Sources said that Katrina's health took a dip after attending two consecutive nights on Friday and Saturday for the sangeet and wedding of her boyfriend Salman Khan's close family-friend Krishan Narayan’s daughter.
It is said that the doctors have not found out the cause of the fall in the haemoglobin count. However, Katrina said that she would be fine and all she needed is rest.

Exclusive Interview: Jagapathi Babu |

Everything in the film looks grand and beautiful. That is why, today it has sold out completely. If we put in the best, the product really comes out well and if we believe in our film, it attracts the buyers. Pravarkyudu is a huge film in my career both in terms of budget and also the business that it did. I hope it also brings in huge profits.

He has always been a mature person. His strength is in writing and he is clear about his ideas. He has made this film with good aesthetic values.

You are playing a college student in one scene of the movie. How did you achieve this younthful look?

I am happy and content with life. It reflects on your face.

Can you name 5 films that turned your career?
Peddarikam, Gayam, Shuba Lagnam, Anthapuram, and hopefully Pravarkyudu

You have just announced a sequel to Gayam. Can you tell us about it?
Yes, the sequel to Gayam is finally taking place. Praveen, a former associate of Ram Gopal Varma, is directing it. It is the first sequel in Telugu in the truest sense. I mean, the movie really starts off with the 15 years of where Gayam ended. 15 years later, the protagonist Durga is coming back. Revathy has agreed to play the same role. We brought Kota Srinivas Rao`s role alive in the sequel. I am yet to speak to Urmila, though.

Why is RGV not directing Gayam 2?
Praveen developed this idea and script. When RGV heard it, he said it sounds good and asked me to go ahead with his protege. 'I don't want to snatch his baby,' he said. But RGV has offered to help me and the director whenever required.

Telugu Movie AMARAVATHI Review |
Actor/director Ravi Babu seems to have a penchant for thrillers considering his previous directorial venture Anasuya was also one.
His latest Telugu film Amaravathi is also of the same genre though in the first half the effort is to make it more of a horror film than a thriller.
Ravi ensures super slick films shot well with a good background score (considering this is crucial in thrillers) and some difficult-to-find locations.
Well this seems to have become his signature move now. He also makes it a point to act as some character or the other in the film. In Amaravathi he is Agent Venkat of the police's Special Task Force (STF).
The story of Amaravathi actually begins post-interval. The first half sets the pace for the build-up of the story. The opening, set in Muthyalarevu (place of pearls), shows Amaravathi and Seenu as close childhood friends. Amaravathi's father doesn't like her closeness to Seenu and therefore finishes him off. The next few minutes seem rather unconnected. In fact the sequence of events seem rather bizarre to the viewer.
Babies are taken away from the womb in very crude ways from a series of women in their final stages of pregnancy even before the police and the ambulance arrive. The women more or less survive, but the babies disappear. In fact, before the actual thing happens, the ambulance is informed. The thrill and fear in each of the victims is built up on screen and shot brilliantly by Sudhakar Reddy.
The lighting pattern is excellent making for a visually good film. An eerie effect is created by Shekar Chandra's background score. The modus operandi of each act is different. It's rather horrifying to watch the orchestration of these sequences particularly towards the end when it becomes too gory.
The police is clueless about the person(s) behind it. In between there is the story of Venkat (Ravi babu) and Latha (Sneha) wherein Venkat has taken leave from the STF to be with Sneha, who is suffering from a blood disorder and needs care and attention.
Cut to the second half when the events happen with the babies Venkat is summoned back. During one of the episodes, a person is caught while trying to frighten a woman. Venkat discovers that the person is none other than Seenu (Tarakaratna). Venkat then unravels the whole mystery behind the story and the link with Amaravathi.
The story which consists of surprising twists and turns may not appeal to all. The tempo is sustained and the viewer is glued to the screen though there are a few moments which may not be intelligible to all.
Technically, the film is brilliant. The fear factor particularly in the first half is brought out well. Ravi Babu has a knack of selecting locations which are not well-known. The locales in the first half are picturesque, while in the last are eerie.
Tarakaratna sports a different image in this film. He is fairly convincing in his role. Bhumika (who grows up to be Amaravathi) looks refreshing in her cameo. Sneha looks pretty while Sindura Gadde is a good-looking cop.
Watch Amaravathi if you can stomach some of the violence.

South Actress MAMTA MOHANDAS Profile, Biography & Filmography
Born : 14 November 1985 (1985-11-14) (age 24)
Bahrain Manama, Bahrain
Occupation : Actor, Playback singer
Years active : 2005 — present
Mamta Mohandas (Malayalam) (born 14 November 1985 in Bahrain) is an Indian film actress and playback singer.
Background
Career :Acting
Mohandas débuted in the 2005 Malayalam film Mayookham, directed by Hariharan. Although the film did not do well at the box-office, Mohandas attracted the attention for her sensitive portrayal of Indira. Her breakthrough was the role as Mammootty's sister in the successful film Bus Conductor (2006), her second feature film.
Subsequently, she acted alongside Suresh Gopi in the films Adbutham (2006) and Lanka (2006) and alongside Jayaram in Madhuchandralekha (2006). She was later roped into play heroine in Keerthi Chakra with Mohanlal, but opted out later due to scheduling conflicts. She created controversy after the release of the movie Lanka. Later that year, she debuted in the Tamil film industry, starring in the Karu Pazhaniappan-directed film, Sivappathigaram opposite Vishal Krishna, which turned out to be an average grosser only.
In 2007 then, she eventually stepped into the Telugu film industry as well as she appeared in a supporting role in the film Yamadonga, directed by SS Rajamouli. The film became one of the biggest hits of the year. She had lent her voice for a couple of songs in this film too. In 2008, she appeared in 7 films, predominantly in Telugu-language films. Her first release was her debut Kannada film Gooli. She then starred her first in the film Krishnarjuna, essaying the lead female role finally, which however did not well at the box office. Victory was her next assignment as lead actress, but that film also failed at the box office, follwoing which she appeared in a cameo role in her only Tamil release that year, Kuselan, alongside Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. Three more Telugu releases featured Mohandas, including Homam, directed by JD Chakravarthy and Srinu Vaitla's King (2008 film) opposite Nagarjuna. In both the film she also worked as a playback singer, singing several songs, gaining great applause for both her acting and singing.
In 2009, she made a comeback to Tamil and Malayalam as she starred in the comedy film Guru En Aalu alongside Madhavan, and the thriller film Passenger, sharing screen space with Dileep and Sreenivasan, respectively. Whilst the former had an average run at the box office, the latter was declared a surprise sleeper hit in Malayalam. She is currently on working on two Malayalam-language projects, Musafir and Ragupati Raghava Raja Ram, and one Telugu film, Rummy.

Singing
Besides acting, Mohandas is known as an acclaimed playback singer in Indian films as well. Mohandas, who is trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music, first sang playback in the Telugu film Rakhee, singing the title song, under Devi Sri Prasad's direction, making her debut in the Telugu film industry as a singer, before making her acting debut in Telugu. She went on to win the 2007 Filmfare Best Telugu Female Playback Singer Award for that song.
Subsequently, she was offered to sing several songs for composer Devi Sri Prasad, including the chartbuster Akalesthe Annam Pedtha for the Chiranjeevi-starrer Shankardada Zindabad (later dubbed as Daddy Mummy in the Tamil film Villu), 36-24-36 for the film Jagadam and Ghanana (Funny) and the title song for the film King, in which she herself acted. Other music directors, she worked with include M. M. Keeravani (for her own films Yamadonga and Krishnarjuna), R. P. Patnaik (for Andamaina Mansulo) and Chakri (for Victory).
In Tamil, she has sung the song Kaalai Kaalai in the film Kaalai that starred Silambarasan in the lead role. She has now sung a song for the yet-to-be-released comedy film Goa under noted composer Yuvan Shankar Raja's direction and for the first time in her mother tongue, Malayalam, for the forthcoming Prithiviraj-starrer Anwar.
