The music of bi-lingual film Salute was released on Monday evening at a function held at a star hotel in the city. Vishal and Nayantara are the lead actors, while Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna has produced the film. A Rajasekhar is the director of Salute. NTR and Charmee graced the occasion as chief guests and released the audio. Directors VV Vinyak, Suresh Krishna, producer Gunnam Ganga Raju, GK Reddy, Vennelakanti, Sahiti and Dil Raju also attended. The cynosure of all eyes was VJ turned actress Shriya Reddy, wife of producer Vikram Krishna. Actress Nayantara's absence was conspicuous. Vishal plays an IPS officer and film has a lot of action, romance and sentiment. Harris Jayraj is the music director.

AR Rehman's Music For Shamshabad Airport

GMR's big hand in Shamshabad Airport has given big corporate look for entire show. AR Rehman is called for composing music for the opening ceremony on 16th March.

His tunes will welcome guests from that day onwards. Bollywood bigwig Prasoon Joshi penned the lyrics in Hindi. The funniest part is that no Telugu lyric is given value for the inauguration of Airport in Andhra Pradesh. Everything is being done in Hindi and English.

On the other hand gossips also state that Rehman is going to compose for Mahesh Babu's next film. That would be the next film in this combination after 'Naani', a big flop.

'Sirivennela' Wrote 300000 Songs And 3000 Recorded

Seetarama Sastry is now a household name in Andhra Pradesh. But like everyone else in the industry, success did not come to him overnight.

Seetarama Sastry had to struggle a lot during the initial days. He is also a perfectionist and does not compromise at all. He also has his habit of rewriting a lyric several times over, as many as 50 times on some occasions, until it tunes to the taste of director.

Seetarama Sastry said that he has so far written over 300000 Songs of which about 3000 have been recorded. That is in fact an astronomical number! Just imagine what a record it is to write 3, 00,000 songs. He said that he generally pen about 50 to 100 versions for each song and that's how the number reached to that extent.

Seetarama Sastry said that for him it is the lyrics that hold more interest than, melody. It is for this reason that he used to listen to Hindi gazals and melodies in his childhood. He enjoyed the meaning of every word used in the songs.

It may come as a big surprise to know that Seetarama Sastry did not listen to Telugu songs much during his childhood. He preferred to listen to only Hindi songs.

SAWAL Music Release On Dec 18th...

Music of Sawal, a B. Jaya-directed film, is going to release on December 18th through Aditya Music. The film is made on Sairoopa Creations with Thota Venkateswara Reddy as producer.

The lead stars are Bharath (of 10 th Calss fame) and Suhani, a child artiste who turned heroine with this film. Sayaji Shinde plays the villain, while another youngster Vinay does the anti-hero role. Jessy Gift, who became a sensation with his tantalizing rendering of Malleeswarive song in Yuvasena, turned a full-fledged music director with this film. The film's shoot has also come to an end.

Almost all the films directed by Jaya had become good musical hits. With a person like Jessy Gift associated with this film, the music has raised expectations in the industry.

Patnaik's Brother To Make His Debut Into Tollywood...

Ajay Patnaik, brother of music director R P Patnaik will soon turn music director with the film Hari Om. The new film will star a newcomer in the lead. Sekhar is a well-known face in the theatre circles and he is making his debut in films with Hari Om. Ramanlok Varma, a senior ad professional will wield the baton for the film while veteran actor Krishna is doing a special guest role in the movie.

Harris Jayaraj To Compose Music For Chiranjeevi's Next Film

Tamil film music composer Harris Jayaraj has not had success in Tollywood so far. Yet, he is still in demand. "I am composing music for Chianjeevi's next film," Harris told the media in Chennai on Saturday.

Although he refused to divulge more details about the film as to who is directing and when will it start, he said, "I am confirmed for it. That's all I can say."

Industry grapevine is that given the buzz about his political entry, his 149th film might be a politically message oriented movie which will be directed by a young Telugu director.

Sumanth's POURUDU Music To Release On Dec 22...

The music of Pourudu, a Sumanth starrer, will be out on December 22nd. In the presentation of Annapoorna Studios, the film is directed by Raj Aditya and produced by Supriya, hero's sister. This action film though earlier planned to release in January last week is now getting ready to hit the screens as Sankranti Gift. The tentative dates are Jan 13 th or 14th.

Nagarjuna's DON Audio Release On Dec 5th...

Music of Nagarjuna's Don is finally going to release in 10 days. The audio release was originally planned in November 3rd week has been postponed to December 5th. The venue has not yet been fixed although Vizag is one option they are seriously considering.

On other hand, Nagarjuna is said to have give deadline to director Lawrence to complete the shooting by first week of December. Nagarjuna is insisting on releasing the movie on December 20th-Telugu Cinemass.

The film has Anushka as the heroine and is produced by M L Kumar Chowdhary.

Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy In Tollywood ?

Bollwood top music directors trio Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy are all set to compose music for a Telugu film. Although Shankar Mahadevan sang for several films in Telugu, this is the first time he is scoring music for a Telugu film. The movie stars a Tollywood heartthorb and is produced by a sucessfull young producer-Telugu Cinemass.

Currently negotiations are going on and the film shooting will begin from Jan. Shankar Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy scored music for the films like Dil Chahta hai, Kal Ho Na Ho Na, etc...

It seems like more and more of Tollywood's stars are revealing their melodious traits. After NTR, it's now JAGAPATHI BABU's turn to step into the recording studio. For the upcoming JD CHAKRAVARTHY directed movie, Homam, Jagapathi Babu will be singing along with heroine cum singer MAMTA MOHANDAS. The actor seems to be going through a dream career-run at this moment, with him being signed up for a lot of films. He expressed that he's extremely excited by the prospect of playback singing in the movie which is now in the final stages of shooting. The film is also said to feature a new heroine-Telugu Cinemass.

Balakrishna's OKKA MAGAADU Music On Dec 8th

Telugu Filmmaker YVS Chowdary is considered a director with superb music sense. As per the industry buzz, all the seven songs in his latest film Okka Magaadu with Balakrishna, have come out extraordinarily thanks to scintillating music scored by Mani Sharma. For the first Mani Sharma is tagged to YVS Chowdary. Almost all the films of YVS have become chartbusters, having worked with senior figures like Chakri, Ramana Gogula and MM Keeravani. The audio is expected to hit the music stands on December 8 th, it is learnt. The satellite rights of the film have already been dumped in favour of D channel of Union minister Dasari for a clean Rs. 2.25 crore. This also makes the first ever film in the career of NBK-Telugu Cinemass.

Actress Charmee's MANTRA Audio Released

Tollywood music director M M Keeravani and top director S S Rajamouli released the music of Charmee starrer Mantra. The audio launch ceremony was held on Sunday evening at Prasad Labs preview theatre, Hyderabad. Vel Records, owned by Keeravani's wife Sri Valli, is marketing the albums.

Heroine Charmee could not make it to the launch. The film reloves around her character and it is a thriller directed by newcomer Osho Thulasi Ram. Music is by Anand. Director Rajamouli praised Charmee for her acting skills. "She has right oomph as well as acting skills required for a good actress. Now, I come to know that she is also good dancer. I am confident that Mantra will be an outstanding film to her career and it will be big success too," Rajamouli said.

Keeravani praised the young team for making such a good movie and said the music is very impressive-Telugu Cinemass.

M.M.Keeravani's Music For GUNDE JALLUMANDI

Telugu director Madan, of Pellaina Kothalo fame, will be directing Uday Kiran in Gunde Jallumandi, being produced by Paruchuri Sivarama Prasad under the banner of United Movies.

This feel good love story will be canned by cinematographer Surender Reddy. Music for this film will be composed by M.M.Keeravani for lyrics written by Chandra Bose. The heroine and other members of the cast and crew are being finalised-Telugu Cinemass.

The film, Gunde Jallumandi, will commence shooting soon. At present, the producer is busy completing Takkari with Nitin. The actor Uday Kiran, who launched his second innings with the disappointing fare of Viyyalavari Kayyalu, is said to be quite eager to get back to reckoning with this film.

Sandeep Chowta Replaces Devisri For BUJJIGAADU !!!

Telugu director Puri Jagannadh and music director Sandeep Chowta have teamed up once again after their musical hit, Super. The duo are working together again for Bujjigaadu (Made In Chennai). What is interesting to note is that Sandeep Chowta has stepped in as the music director in the place of Devi Sri Prasad.

Earlier Devi's name was announced but it is Sandeep who is scoring music for this film. We don't know what prompted for this sudden change of plans-Telugu Cinemass.


The film has Prabhas, Trisha and newcomer Sanjana as the lead pair and is produced by K S Ramarao.

Telugu star Pawan Kalyan remained the centre of attraction at the audio release function of Bheema, the latest film of Vikram and Trisha in the direction of Linguswamy on Surya Movies banner, with its presentation in Andhra Pradesh through SPR Entertainments. The event was held at Prasad Multiplex, Hyderabad. The crazy star released the audio cassette and presented the first number to hero Vikram. He also released the CD and the numbers were given to all those present on the stage. A highlight of the music is that Harris Jayraj scored music, while lyrics were penned by producer AM Ratnam. Aditya Music is marketing the music in Telugu.

The dignitaries who took part in the music release were Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Dil Raju, Arjun Raju, Bogavalli Prasad, NV Prasad, Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar, ML Kumar Chowdary, Boyapati Srinivas and some of the technicians and distributors. Shareen, who plays one of the female leads in Bheema also graced the function.

Pawan Kalyan, wearing a casual dress, straight came from a shooting spot and be the chief guest of the evening. After releasing the music, he as usual spoke a few words. "I do not have the habit of speaking in functions like this. I always have a special friendship with AM Ratnam. He came up in life by hard work and dedication. Vikram and Linguswamy combination will sure become a hit. I wish the unit a very happy success." Pawan Kalyan, who appeared in the public, after his emotional speeches in TVs, was received with cheers by the gathering.

AM Ratnam expressed his special thanks to Pawan Kalyan for being the chief guest in spite of his busy schedules. "We are working on Bheema for over year by now. It is a very interesting and at the same times a difficult subject. Vikram is our major strength. Harrish Jayraj's music is another asset. Linguswamy has done his best. I am confident of success of the film both in Telugu and Tamil." He congratulated Pawan Kalyan for starting his Common Man Protection Force for the uplift of socially underprivileged. "The organization will soon become a mighty force," he maintained-Telugu Cinemass.

Hero Vikram said: "We all worked with heavy dedication and concentration. I thank Pawan Kalyan for coming here and releasing our music. Linguswamy's story and narration enthralled me a lot, and I decided to do it immediately. There is going to be lot of entertainment and superb scenes. AM Ratnam is one person, who is dedicated for quality in film production. I fell proud to be part of this Bheema team. "

Linguswamy read out a written message in Tamil in Telugu. "Vikram is a bundle of energy. He has excellent strengths in display of superb body, mind and heart languages, which very few artistes will have. Trisha's presence is another major highlight. Finally, music by Harris Jayraj is a priceless asset to the film."

Mani Sharma Edges Out Ramana Gogula...

Having set the BO on fire with her last release Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule, actress Trisha is all set to play the lead opposite Ravi Teja in her upcoming Tollywood venture. VV Vinayak is directing the movie being produced by Kasi Vishwanaadham.

Mani Sarma is composing the music for the film. He is believed to have edged out Ramana Gogula in the last minute. According to sources Ramana Gogula was the first choice but he developed differences with Vinayak and was shown the door, making way for Mani Sarma-Telugu Cinemass.
