TASHU KAUSHIK INTERVIEW

Tashu Kaushik is looking forward to her two upcoming projects —

 one in Telugu and the other in Malayalam. “Both films are serious and are very different from each other,” says the actress. The Telugu film is called Reporter. “It’s based on journalism and looks at the positive side of it. The profession can be used as a tool to help people. The film will showcase real-life incidents that transpired in recent times,” she adds.

    The movie, which is being directed by Mahesh Kumar Kathi, will see her playing a character with two shades. “I play the role of a girl who is misunderstood, as she is seen with the lead actor, Ramki, whenever he’s in trouble. But actually, she’s a very simple and traditional girl,” Tashu explains about her character.

    Apart from this, the actress has also signed a Malayalam film Escape from Uganda. “This is a thriller, and I will be going to Uganda next month to shoot,” she says, adding, “I am playing the role of an investigative officer who is in search of a criminal.”

 Rajesh Nair is the director of this film. “I am looking forward to this movie as I’m very fascinated about my character — it is always interesting to play a cop,”she laughs.  The actress has just completed the shoot of a Kannada film Cool Ganesha, with Jaggesh as the lead actor. “This is my debut film in Kannada. It’s a romantic comedy, which will release in July,” says Tashu
