With both Tamil and Telugu versions of Kuselan
(Kathanayakudu in
Telugu) tottering at the box-office, it seems that RAJNIKANTH hasn't been able to break the jinx of his guest roles after attaining stardom. Barring his Telugu film Pedarayadu, where his special appearance fetched him acclaim as well as commercial success, the superstar hasn't had similar luck in Tamil. Both his earlier films Anbula and Valli sank without a trace. Though his earlier films bombed but the buyers managed to survive with minimal losses and it is alleged that star compensated for one of those duds. But his recent bi-lingual Kuselan (Kathanayakudu) was hyped more like a regular Rajnikanth film and traded exorbitant numbers. After a shaky start, if it doesn't pick up quickly then buyers in both the states will suffer huge financial losses. Will the audience come out in hordes to arrest it’s wobbling ride? Let’s wait and watch!
