Sudheer Babu cameo as IPS officer in Sri Sri
The much-awaited "comeback" of actor Krishna seems to be turning into a complete family affair. While son Mahesh Babu is featuring as a voice artiste, son-in-law and actor Sudheer Babu will be making a cameo in father-in-law's next titled Sri Sri, as an IPS officer. In fact, even Krishna's five-year-old grandson plays a role in the film.
"When Krishna garu asked me if I'd play this role, I immediately said yes. You just can't say no to a film with a legend whose work you have grown up watching," enthuses Sudheer. The actor admits to have asked for a role in the film — a comeback of sorts for Krishna. "Since he was acting after a long time, I wanted to be a part of the project if possible, even if it was in a small way."
The actor finished the shot for the particular scene in just a day. The actor, however, doesn't share screen space with Krishna in the film. "But I am not complaining. The fact that I made an appearance in his film gives so much satisfaction that no superhit film of mine can give," he states. Sri Sri is a very special movie for Sudheer Babu for another reason too. His younger son five-year-old Darshan is debuting as a child artiste in the film, playing a role close to his real life character. He plays Krishna's grandson. "If you watch the film, you'd realise that he is so much like Krishna garu in terms of mannerisms and looks," he says. The doting father says he is very proud of his son. "I have seen rushes of the film and am obviously proud to see his work. He was a bit apprehensive initially, but slowly got into the groove," shares Sudheer.
