Continuing her recent comeback onto the south film screens actress Tabu has just signed on to another head turning combination. For the first time, the Hyderabadi will be seen sharing screen space with none other than Rajanikanth for the latter’s latest film in the direction of P.Vasu. But the two actors are not paired opposite each other instead Tabu will be actor Jagapathi Babu’s leading lady. Jagapthi Babu is playing the role of the second lead in the film’s Telugu version that is being produced by Aswini Dutt. Nayantara is paired opposite Rajnikanth in this K.Balachander directed film. It is a reunion of sorts as it was director Balachander who had given Rajanikanth his break in films. And it is believed that Rajanikanth is returning a favor with this film.

In Telugu, C.Aswini Dutt is producing the movie under the banner of Vyjayanthy Movies. Kamal Hasan is acting in the movie only for the sake of K. Balachander, whom he regards as his mentor. Kamal will act in a scene where he will felicitate Rajini Kanth. Nayana Tara will act against Rajini Kanth for 3rd time. The shooting of the movie will commence in Febrauary.

BHAVANA is playing the lead opposite Maddy in the film directed by BALASEKHARAN. CV RAO and PATSA NAGARAJU are producing the movie for which ace music director MANI SARMA is composing the music. "The film is an action-packed love story and it stresses on the importance of the joint family in a time when the concept of family is on the wane in Indian society. PRAKASH RAJ's acting combined with MANI SARMA's music are the highlights of the film," says CV Rao. All said and done, as far as the audiences are concerned, it is Maddy who will be the big draw. Balakrishna Questioned To YVS Chowdary

Though hero, Balakrishna is making tall claims about the response of the film in public, he is totally unhappy with the turnout. He is blaming it on YVS Chowdary for the failure. Balaiah told his close friends that he had Okayed the story in its synoptic form. He swore he hadn't heard the story in scenic order.

Baliah is now with the opinion that the story is spice less. Chintapalli Ramana, the dialogue writer, couldn't pack the dialogues with the required punch.

The much publicized dialogue, 'Lakhshalo Okkanni.. Lakshamandiki Okkanni'( I am one among a lakh people. But I can be a match to the lakh of people). When Balaiah modulates, the dialogue couldn't evoke the expected response from audience, Balaiah strongly believes.
