SEEMA SASTRY MOVIE SYNOPSIS:Surekha Reddy( Farzana) is the daughter of a factionist in Kurnool (Jaya Prakasha Reddy). Subrahmanya Sastry (Allari Naresh) is a priest who falls in her love in the city. Surekha too reciprocates to him positively after a brief negation. Then the attempt of Subrahmanya Sastry is to convince the factionist-father of Surekha Reddy. He goes to Kurnool along with his family members in the disguise of factionists from the same Reddy community. Rest of the story is how factionist-father will be convinced for the marriage.

ANALYSIS:Seema Sastry, as the title suggests, is a total spoof-both on typical temple Purohits (played by the protagonist) and factionists from Rayalaseema (played by his lady love's family). It makes fun of both the sides without being partial and stereotypes blatantly to bring out the humor. After all the movies we've seen glamorizing the violence, this movie comes as a breather. The typical behavior and lifestyles are the basis of the comedy and the actors, gags and one-liners come in handy to keep the movie entertaining.
Read More...This simple theme can be narrated in decent style and it has got very big scope to spill laughs. But unfortunately the screenplay killed the total dish. Predictable scenes and pale comedy spoiled the enthusiastic mood of audiences. Although a few scenes in climax bring little chuckles, they are completely conceptualized in old school. At last, the film makes no impact on viewers.
All the songs in the film are visually appealing due to Farzana’s beauty and nothing else left. It is observed that a good number of audiences getting out from theatres during songs.
It is more like a TV serial on a whole. First of the film is very dull and interval break pumps in some hope that second half would be interesting. But the director failed to impress even with second half. He couldn’t be able to utilize the scope for making a rib tickling comedy film.
Read More...The first half of the film is alright. Second half is OK. The plus points of the film are comedy and songs. On the flip side, there is a bit of vulgarity and Brahmin-bashing. If you can ignore illogical scenes and vulgarity, it is a decent comedy film that does not bore you.
Read More...We have seen lots of faction films. This Seema Sastry is humorous (or parody) take on them. The film is kind of David Dhawan film - where laughter only matters not the logic. In that sense, Seema Shastry, directed by G Nageshwar Reddy (who earlier directed 6 Teens and other hits), has winner despite inconsistency in narration.
With plain storyline, the director maintains the interest with neat comedy and enough turns and twists. There are also enough vulgar dialogues aimed at B and C centre audiences. Comedy and songs have come in the advantage of the film.

FILM CHAMBER:ANALYSIS:Story is simple and there is no punch in its treatment on the screen. Several scenes gave an impression of watching a stage play or a TV serial. There is no ease in dialogue delivery. Dialogues by Marudhuri Raja are not impressive.
Screenplay and direction by G. Nageswara Rao is a big letdown. There is a lot of expectation from the lead roles, but the hoopla is soon evaporated. First half is ok, but there is monotony in the second half.
Comedy is the sustenance of Allari Naresh's films. In spite of fielding all the big comedians in the industry, the efforts turned futile. There is vulgarity in dialogue delivery and in some scenes, which are sufficient enough to keep the women crowds off the theatres.
Vandemataram Sreenivas-scored music got released months ago. But, the same are coming up on the screen. The songs became speed breakers. Cinematography is good.
